Hey, my name's Ashley Kang and I hail from South Korea. Currently a senior at GAFL (Gyeonggi Academy of Foreign Languages -a mouthful isn't it?) and persisting through the IB program, I aspire to become a film director. Who doesn't like a good movie? From short clips to long films, videos of a wide variety are dominating the web and social media. With the right push, films could go a long way in spreading an understanding of different cultures, backgrounds, religion, race, and experiences. I believe YMU is a great and innovative platform where I can start sharing my own ideas and opinions through the medium of film. Hopefully with time and passion, this small community will grow into something with a louder voice, and in the meantime we can grow closer to one another as individuals in this world.
