Hi guys! My name is Ally and I'm a junior at an international school in Yokohama, Japan. Like many other international students around the world, I've been brought up in a culture different to that of my parents and different to that of Japan; my highly globalized education has enabled me to think and act differently to the point where fitting into different environments is paralleled to the nature of a chameleon - able to mould to my surroundings, but fundamentally unconvinced what color I actually am. There's a certain intellectual beauty in not understanding where exactly it is you're from, and I'm fortunate enough to be able to identify the advantages; the value in distinct perspectives, individuality, and open-mindedness.
